Web Design
We were tasked with making a website for an artist. I selected Brock Hofer as he is one of my favorite artists, and his artwork is featured in various video games. The website is also fully functional on mobile.
Web Design
In this Web Design module, we were tasked with making a website to illustrate “Copyright Best Practices”. I set up the page so that if you click on the sidebar links, it smoothly scrolls to the correct paragraph using javascript. The website is also fully functional on mobile.
Character Design
For this Character Design Module, we were tasked with creating an image of a character based on Māori mythology. I selected Tāne Mahuta, the guardian of the forest. He is known for separating the Earth Mother (Papatūānuku) from the Sky Father (Ranginui), much like Atlas holds up the Earth from the sky in Greek Mythology. My design is based on this, with Tāne in the typical “Atlas Pose”, carrying the sky on his back.
3D Animation Formative
I really enjoy using physics in Blender, so I set up a simulation to create this satisfying animation of a ball rolling/bouncing down a couple of ramps and into a tube.
This video technically seamlessly loops but Youtube ruined that for me by not supporting videos to autoplay and loop when embedded without using a janky playlist workaround 🙄
I made this droid factory animation during the "Student for a Day" workshop. The base of this animation (Robots and the Robotic Welding Arm) were created during SFaD. I refined it later on to make the conveyor look more linear, and the arm look look more robotic. I also added a particle simulation (Not particularly visible) to act as welding sparks.
I then added sound design to it so it feels more lively and not just shapes moving around on a screen.
I originally had the green-screen background so I could edit in footage of the Geonosian droid factory from Star Wars Episode II.
