It's useful putting up advert posters in public areas for most events, however, it has been a long known stereotype that gamers don't go outside, which isn't too far off the truth.
Therefore I decided to make one of my deliverables a social media post, as my target audience of gamers spend most of their lives online, so there will be a much higher likelihood of them seeing the advertisement.
This advertisement post would be shared on Instagram, posted into the various NZ Esports Discords, and the various NZ Esports Facebook pages, that most engaged esports fans in NZ frequent.
I wanted to have a post with a question, that gamers would read and be more intrigued, however my two attempts to create a post like that failed as they were quite bland and didn't convey much information.
I then realized that I already had a pretty solid template for a social media post, as most social media posts are just square posters with some more info in the description.
I decided the use the poster I already had, but to condense it to a 1:1 ratio post.
As I was making the social media post while the poster was still in development, I changed the post as I changed the poster.
Although on the poster I removed the "Slayer Esports Presents". I decided to keep it in the post, as if it were to be posted in a Esports Discord/Facebook Page, it would make it look more credible.
